KLIA2 is currently the largest Low Cost Carrier Terminal (LCCT) project in the region of Southeast Asia, which is scheduled to be fully operational by May 2014 (construction to be completed by 31st Dec 2012). The total cost of building this new LCCT is estimated at RM4 Billion, which is currently 52% completed. It is located just two kilometers away from the main KLIA Terminal. There will be a total of 68 aircraft parking bay whilst the new budget terminal will cater for approximately 30 million passengers. Our client, Malaysia Airport Holdings Berhad (MAHB) was concerned with the large volume of waste generated per day as well the security level of the airport. Thus, STREAM Automated Waste Collection System (AWCS) was installed to overcome these issues. Waste can be disposed conveniently with 43 load stations within the development. It increases the whole waste disposal process efficiency, eliminates odour and pest issues with frequent removals, reduces the number of garbage trucks and manual labour having to access the building on a regular basis
